About the Journal

Aims & Scope

The International Journal of Culture and Creative Economy (IJCCE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Centre for Creative Economy and Cultural Studies (CCECS) at Akwa Ibom State University, Nigeria.

The emergence of the creative sector as a significant contributor to Nigeria's GDP underscores the need for scholarly analysis and discourse. IJCCE provides a platform for exploring the intersections of culture, creativity, and economic development — fostering informed policy and practice, and showcasing research on cultural industries, digital media, and creative entrepreneurship.

The journal publishes articles from diverse scholarly fields including history, music, performing arts and theatre, religious and cultural studies, sociology, anthropology, economics, film studies, and related disciplines.
